Scientific Equipment for Universities in the Dnipro Region

In early September 2026, scientific equipment was delivered from Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen to Ukrainian partner universities in the Dnipro region. The shipment included, among other things, computers and IT equipment, as well as laboratory equipment and other technical equipment for research and teaching.

The equipment was selected in close consultation with the Ukrainian partners based on their specific needs and prepared for transport. Staff from the academic, technical, and administrative sectors, as well as students from the participating universities, assisted with the selection, testing, and packaging of the equipment.

With this shipment, DniProNRW – Science Bridge is supporting the scientific infrastructure of the partner universities and helping to maintain and further develop research and teaching even under the difficult conditions of war. Accompanying training sessions and “train-the-trainer” programs are also intended to ensure the sustainable use of the equipment on site.

The DniProNRW – Science Bridge project, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW NRW), connects Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen with Ukrainian partner universities in the Dnipro region. The goal is to combine concrete support with long-term collaboration in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer.
