Exhibition “Under Broken Skies” at the Baukunstarchiv NRW From 26 June to 9 August 2026, the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund will host the photography exhibition “Under Broken Skies: Ukrainian-German Cultural Heritage on the Front Line”. The opening will take place on 25 June 2026 at 7.00 pm.

The campus of Ruhr University Bochum is located near the motorway junction Bochum/Witten, where the A43 connects with the A44. Take the exit Bochum-Querenburg / Universität (exit 19) and follow the signs to “Ruhr-Universität.” Continue on Universitätsstraße and take the turnoff “Uni Mitte” to reach the central campus area.

By Bus & Train

Travel by train to Bochum Central Station. From there, take the underground line U35 towards “Hustadt / Universität” and exit at the stop ‘Ruhr-Universität’. The U35 runs every 5 minutes on weekdays and takes about 9–10 minutes to the university. After exiting the station, cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the campus.

By Plane

The nearest major airport is Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). From the terminal, take the SkyTrain (about 5 minutes) to the airport railway station, then board a regional train (RE) to Bochum Central Station (approximately 30 minutes). From there, take the U35 underground line to “Ruhr-Universität” as described above.
