European Education Fair Taiwan 2026: Studying in Europe

Location & approach

By Car

The campus of Ruhr University Bochum is located near the motorway junction Bochum/Witten, where the A43 connects with the A44. Take the exit Bochum-Querenburg / Universität (exit 19) and follow the signs to “Ruhr-Universität.” Continue on Universitätsstraße and take the turnoff “Uni Mitte” to reach the central campus area.

By Bus & Train

Travel by train to Bochum Central Station. From there, take the underground line U35 towards “Hustadt / Universität” and exit at the stop ‘Ruhr-Universität’. The U35 runs every 5 minutes on weekdays and takes about 9–10 minutes to the university. After exiting the station, cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the campus.

By Plane

The nearest major airport is Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). From the terminal, take the SkyTrain (about 5 minutes) to the airport railway station, then board a regional train (RE) to Bochum Central Station (approximately 30 minutes). From there, take the U35 underground line to “Ruhr-Universität” as described above.

The Ruhr University Alliance will be represented at the European Education Fair Taiwan (EEFT) in October 2026. Prospective students can learn about degree programs and research opportunities at the three universities of the Ruhr University Alliance while at the fair.

The European Education Fair Taiwan brings together European universities and prospective students from Taiwan. The Ruhr University Alliance (UA Ruhr) will also be represented in 2026 and will showcase the diverse study and research opportunities at Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

The fair will take place on October 24 and 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Taipei New Horizon Building in Taipei. For the first time, there will also be a fair day in Kaohsiung: on October 27, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kaohsiung Main Public Library.

Admission is free.
