Under Broken Skies" exhibition at the Baukunstarchiv NRW
- EECA News

The Dortmund presentation is being realized in cooperation with the Cultural Department for Russian-Germans at the Museum of Russian-German Cultural History, the Baukunstarchiv NRW, the Technical University of Dortmund and the Liaison Office Eastern Europe/Central Asia of the University Alliance Ruhr.
The exhibition is dedicated to the endangerment and destruction of the common Ukrainian-German cultural heritage as a result of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. The focus is on historical sites in the south and east of the country where German communities have lived since the 18th century and whose architectural heritage is now damaged or under threat.
On display are photographs from the regions affected by the war, supplemented by archive material from the holdings of the Museum of Russian-German Cultural History in Detmold. Curated by Irina Unruh, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with historical interdependencies and current issues of cultural preservation.
With its commitment, the Liaison Office of the UA Ruhr supports academic and social exchange with Eastern Europe and provides impetus for dialog on the culture of remembrance, cultural heritage and current developments in the region.
